From January 2016 to January 2020, I had the privilege of studying at Texas A&M University, where I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Those four years were not only foundational to my academic growth but also instrumental in shaping the way I approach decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic thinking today.
Why Economics?
Economics is more than just supply and demand—it’s the study of how choices are made under scarcity. At Texas A&M, I was drawn to this discipline because of its ability to explain real-world phenomena with clarity and logic. Whether analyzing market trends or understanding public policy, economics provided a lens through which I could view the world in a structured and analytical way.
A Rich Academic Experience
The Economics program at Texas A&M is both rigorous and relevant. From microeconomic theory to global macroeconomic trends, I explored the many dimensions of how individuals, businesses, and governments interact in the marketplace. I particularly enjoyed working with data analytics and statistical models to interpret economic trends and propose strategic solutions.
Courses like:
- Game Theory
- Behavioral Economics
- International Trade
- Monetary Policy
…helped refine my analytical mindset and gave me a strong grounding in both theoretical and applied economics.
Skills That Transcend the Classroom
While the classroom taught me the models, the real value was in learning how to apply them. My economics degree honed my ability to:
- Think critically and logically
- Analyze data and trends
- Understand complex systems and incentives
- Communicate economic insights effectively
These skills have proven invaluable in both my professional and personal decision-making.
A Community That Inspires
Texas A&M isn’t just a place to learn—it’s a place to grow, connect, and lead. I was fortunate to be part of a collaborative environment where professors challenged us to ask deeper questions and peers motivated each other to aim higher. The Aggie network continues to be a source of inspiration and opportunity even beyond graduation.
